Schrot exercises
The Schrot concept is recognized as the most complete method of assessing scoliosis, classification and ways of exercising. It was created in Germany in 1920. It was named after the author Katharina Schroth (1894-1985), who also had scoliosis and felt the problem and laid the foundations of functional diagnostics, a therapy that her followers developed.
The method has become the standard of non-surgical treatment of scoliosis in Germany. It is supported by the state health insurance system. Orthopedists and surgeons routinely refer patients to therapy. Schroth exercises. The Schroth method is performed at the ASKLEPIOS KATHARINA SCHROTH CLINIC (BAD SOBERNHAEM, GERMANY).
In addition to inpatient rehabilitation of patients with scoliosis, the Clinic educates therapists from all over Europe. Certified therapists provide this type of therapy throughout Europe, the United States, and parts of the Middle East.
In the late 1980s, Dr. Rigo began training programs for therapists and soon became one of the most influential international instructors. He brought the original program to America and England, thus spreading knowledge around the world together with the author and researching the effects achieved by this method. In this way, the Schroth-Schroth method has become recognized worldwide today.
