Electrotherapy
Electrotherapy is the application of currents for therapeutic purposes. We use different types of currents, and the choice depends on their action and the effect we want to achieve.
Galvanic current
It is a direct current direct current that is used for painful conditions, rheumatic diseases, swelling, nerve injuries, etc. Indications for the use of galvanic current: neuralgia, neuritis, peripheral lesions and paralysis (accelerates nerve nutrition and recovery), periarthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, enthesopathy (inflammation of soft tissues around the joints), arthrosis, arthritis (painful knees hips, wrists) And lumbar syndrome, post-traumatic swelling and hematomas, distortions (soft tissue injuries).
Contraindications: skin defects at the site of application, eczema, youth, dermatitis, metal in the tissue, febrile conditions, acute purulent processes, bleeding, bleeding tendency, cardiac pacemaker, decompensation of the heart, lungs, kidneys and liver.
Electrophoresis
Electrophoresis is a method by which, in the fastest way, with the help of galvanic current, the necessary medicine is delivered, locally, exactly to the injured place, thus bypassing the gastrointestinal tract and liver blood flow. A depot of the drug is created at the treated site, so the effect of the drug is longer.
Diadynamic currents
Diadynamic currents are a combination of differently modulated pulses in intensity, shape and amplitude (pulse) and galvanic components. They have a pronounced analgesic effect, reduce swelling and improve circulation (dilate blood vessels, reduce swelling and hematoma), reduce muscle spasm and thus reduce pain. They are also used to stimulate muscles after a short or long rest.
INDICATIONS for the use of DDS: arthrosis and arthritis in the phase of severe pain, cervical and lumbar syndrome, neuralgia, neuritis, radiculopathy, distortion, contusion, subluxation (soft tissue injuries), post-traumatic contractures (joint stiffness), algodystrophic syndrome peripheral circulation.
Contraindications: skin defects, pregnancy, bleeding, all types of paralysis, paresis, acute and subacute thrombophlebitis and inflammation of the deep veins; calculosis (stone) in the bile and urinary tract
TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation)
TENS is one of the best methods in the fight against pain. It is used for acute subacute and chronic pain. The current works by blocking pain impulses that are transmitted by nerve fibers to the central nervous system. It is used for back pain, rheumatic pain, neuralgia, migraine and phantom pain, etc.
Contraindications: skin injuries, metal in the field of spreading, pacemaker
Interference currents
Interference currents allow the patient to control pain and are two circuits of medium-frequency current that intersect deep in the tissue, resulting in alternating low-frequency current. They reduce pain (considered stronger than other types of currents), increase tissue blood flow and increase oxygen supply to the tissue, accelerate bone healing after fracture-callus formation (can also be used when there is a metal implant in the body), stimulate recovery injured nerves, etc.
Contraindications: general CI, acute and subacute thrombophlebitis phlebothrombosis, cardiac pacemaker, calculosis (stone) of the bile and urinary tract, heart rhythm disorders.
Russian currents
Russian currents are used to stimulate healthy muscles, to increase strength and transverse muscle diameter. Russian doctor Jakov Koc announced in 1977 that by using these currents, he achieved a 30-40 percent increase in muscle strength among Russian athletes at the Olympics because he used these currents as additional training. These currents are also used in cases when muscle atrophy has occurred due to prolonged rest, so movement is difficult or impossible even with a certain degree of scoliosis to strengthen the back muscles.

Laser
Laser therapy is used in the treatment of injuries, painful conditions, hemorrhages, swelling, rheumatic and neurological diseases in a painless non-invasive way.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound has a mechanical and thermal effect, it is a very effective tool in the treatment of numerous pathologies of the nervous and musculoskeletal system. Improves microcirculation, tissue relaxation and speeds up metabolism.
